Personal Trainer Santa MonicaEasy Fitness was started in 2007 by Certified Personal Trainer and Weight Loss Specialist David Varvaro, NSCA - CPT, NPTI. Unlike most personal trainers in Santa Monica and Marina del Rey, David is not a former professional or collegiate athlete, a marathon runner, a fitness model or an actor.He was not born with a six-pack or a naturally lean body. Before becoming a personal trainer David struggled with weight loss just like everyone else. Unlike most personal trainers in Santa Monica, David has actually gone through many of the same experiences that his clients go through. This invaluable insight played a huge role in the development of Easy Fitness Santa Monica and Marina del Rey and has been one of the most important keys to the success of the weight loss program. Throughout his career as a personal trainer and weight loss specialist in Santa Monica, David has been blessed to work with well over a thousand people, all seeking the same thing – permanent weight loss. These people were from all walks of life – college students, brides to be, new moms, soon to be 50-year-olds who were freaked out about weight loss for their big birthday, seniors, busy professionals, teachers, construction workers, and even other personal trainers and fitness instructors. Many of these people had been struggling with weight loss their entire lives. No matter what they did, they just couldn’t keep the weight off. You named it, they probably tried it – personal trainers, boot camps, spin classes, fitness classes, fitness videos, marathon training, kickboxing, weight loss programs, thigh masters, ab rollers – the list was endless! Through his research and experience, David was able to identify the most common reasons people failed to achieve weight loss success, even though they were spending plenty of time and money on diet books, gym memberships, personal trainers, etc. More importantly, David was able to identify the common factors shared by the people who did achieve permanent weight loss. He combined these factors with the most recent nutrition research to develop a program that anyone could use to achieve results. Easy Fitness programs were created to make weight loss and getting in shape an enjoyable experience that blends into your life rather than taking over it. Our philosophy about weight loss, exercise and nutrition is based on the simple fact that people will do things that make them feel good and will try to avoid things that make them feel bad. Yet most people and unfortunately most personal trainers take the opposite approach when it comes to personal training and weight loss. Most people think the more time they spend in the gym, the more weight loss results they will get and most personal trainers think the harder they push their clients, the better the results. This is why extreme weight loss boot camps and cross-training classes have become so popular lately. In the short term this is true, but for long term weight loss goals and to achieve lasting fitness results the opposite is true. It will be only so long before you get injured or simply burn out well short of your end goal. At Easy Fitness Santa Monica and Marina del Rey locations, we believe weight loss and exercise should be fun and enjoyable. We think it should make you feel good, not bad, so we definitely don't follow the old “no pain, no gain” approach to working out. We believe in working smarter and more efficiently, rather than harder and longer. We use non-traditional movement based weight loss exercises that are fun yet challenging enough to make changes to the body. By combining the most effective strength and cardio training along with a mix of pilates and yoga type exercises and stretches, we are able to accomplish more in 30 minutes than most people do in an hour and a half of weight loss training. Plus our clients have a blast. Many of our Santa Monica and Marina del Rey clients say that our training sessions are TOO MUCH FUN to be called workouts! But even more importantly, our personal training and weight loss program works!
